Chemicals and hazardous materials are present all around us and can cause you serious eye injuries. In the work environment it is imperative that proper eye safety procedures are followed by all workers. Protective eyewear should be worn by workers and specifically construction workers at all times when around a job site. First aid and eye washing stations should be available in the event of contamination. Nails guns, splinters, pieces of metal and wire, dust, grit, and dangerous chemicals all pose a risk of eye injuries. Workers should be aware of these risks and should take precautions to minimize the chance of a serious accident.
